Health economics chair Vivian Ho discusses the latest research from around the country on how the Affordable Care Act will change rates of health insurance coverage and premiums.

The major provisions of the Affordable Care Act that increase access to private and public health insurance will occur in 2014. At this event, Vivian Ho, Ph.D., who leads the Health Policy Forum, will discuss the latest research from around the country on how rates of health insurance coverage are expected to change and how much health insurance premiums will increase. She will explore which individuals and companies may spend more or less for health care, as well as describe the role of newly created health insurance exchanges in the market for insurance coverage. The ongoing changes in payment incentives under Medicare and Medicaid that are influencing health care providers will also be examined.
