Webinar

At the final webinar of a series dedicated to the discussion of circular economy and sustainability goals, Rachel A. Meidl, fellow in energy and environment, was joined by Emily Tipaldo, the executive director of U.S. Plastics Pact. They considered how to achieve a circular economy for plastics and answered many of the intriguing questions received from our audience over the course of our webinar season. The vision of a new circular economy for plastics and other materials is broadly supported by businesses, government agencies, NGOs, universities, trade bodies and investors. Meidl and Tipaldo addressed what a unified national framework would entail, the role each stakeholder plays in circularity, policy configurations to advance sustainability, and outlooks and recommendations for the incoming Biden administration.
