Under the López Obrador administration, Mexico continues to rely on imported natural gas while it develops its own sources. However, the government has postponed bid rounds that included  potential natural gas blocks, leaving the future of the sector unclear.

At this event, Hector Moreira, commissioner of Mexico’s National Hydrocarbons Commission, will discuss proposals for the natural gas sector in Mexico and how the availability of natural gas impacts the country’s economic growth.

The event is co-sponsored by the Baker Institute Center for Energy Studies and Mexico Center. Follow @BakerInstitute on Twitter and join the conversation online with #BakerMexico.
