Susan McDade is the manager of the Sustainable Energy Program in United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), based in New York. At the UNDP she has worked on the definition of the program approach and policy framework linking energy activities to sustainable development as reflected in corporate publications as well as country level program activities. The "Gender, Development and Energy" lecture series, co-sponsored by the Baker Institute and Rice University's Program for the Study of Women and Gender, addresses central concerns relating to human well-being, poverty and development.
