About The Program >>

The mission of the Latin America Initiative (LAI) is to provide a forum that fosters a better understanding of the cultures, economies, histories and contemporary affairs of Latin America. LAI’s affiliated experts from South and Central America provide research and commentary on trade, economic development, politics and the democratic culture of the region. Additionally, LAI hosts lectures and public forums addressing social, political and economic aspects of the hemisphere, as well as of the relationships between Latin American countries and the United States.
