Study: Jordan's approach to HIV

Although HIV incidence rates remain low in Jordan and the Middle East as a whole, recent studies have shown that the rate of new infections has increased by 52 percent in the region in the past decade.
This study shows that HIV prevention is not a priority within Jordan’s health sector and that young people are at a greater risk of infection due to the paucity of sex education and youth-targeted HIV prevention programming.
