Biography
Rolando Javier Salinas García, Ph.D., is a professor-researcher at Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro (UAQ) in Mexico and founder of the university’s Labor Center. He earned his Ph.D. in social studies with a concentration in labor studies and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at UCLA Institute for Research on Labor and Employment (IRLE). Salinas García is a Level 2 member of Mexico’s National System of Researchers (SNII). His research focuses on collective bargaining, labor relations, youth labor inclusion, and industrial development.
Salinas García is also a research collaborator at the UCLA Labor Center and a 2025 visiting scholar at Rice University's Claudio X. Gonzalez Center for the U.S. and Mexico at the Baker Institute for Public Policy.
