José Woldenberg is a Mexican political scientist and sociologist who served as the first president of the Federal Electoral Institute of Mexico from 1996 to 2003. He was also a founding member of the political party Partido Socialista Unificado de Mexico (PSUM) and the former director of NEXOS magazine.
