The Baker Institute's Center for Energy Studies, the Brazilian Petroleum Institute, and the Brazil-Texas Chamber of Commerce hosted a hybrid event on the upcoming COP30 climate meeting in Belém, Brazil. This landmark event, marking the first COP in the Amazon and the first in the Western Hemisphere in over a decade, presents an opportunity to delve into critical topics and strategies for advancing climate action and sustainability leadership in Brazil and the Americas.
The conversation aimed to:
- Review outcomes of past COP meetings and identify key challenges and opportunities for the upcoming COP30.
- Address critical topics relevant to stakeholders.
- Provide insights from experts in the energy, mining and petrochemical sectors.
