We hosted leading academics, policy experts and energy executives from Brazil and the United States for the second annual “Brazil Summit,” co-organized by the Baker Institute’s Center for Energy Studies and the Brazil Texas Chamber of Commerce (BRATECC)

This year’s summit came at a pivotal moment for Brazil, following the 2025 COP30 and BRICS Summit and ahead of the country’s October 2026 presidential election. Speakers examined the political, regulatory and economic trends shaping Brazil’s energy sector, with special attention to diplomatic and trade relations with the United States and China. Panel discussions explored developments in oil and gas, renewables, biofuels and critical minerals, offering exclusive insights into Brazil’s evolving role in global energy markets. The program provided an opportunity for informed dialogue and engagement with key stakeholders across the energy sector.
