The objective of Mexico’s historic energy reform is to revitalize the national oil and gas industry, which leads to questions related to the rule of law, including, among others: How will this reform increase foreign and private investment in the sector? How will laws and regulations that deal with the environment, land use and government transparency be affected?
At this event, organized by the School of Government and Public Transformation of the Tecnológico de Monterrey and the Baker Institute Mexico Center, academics and members of the industry from Mexico and the United States discussed fundamental aspects that need to be addressed regarding the new challenges to Mexico’s energy industry.
