Biography
Abhi Rajendran is a nonresident fellow at the Center for Energy Studies (CES) at Rice University’s Baker Institute. In his full-time capacity, he is a director of research and advisory at Energy Intelligence. He leads the firm’s oil/downstream markets and North American energy-focused research practices, and also contributes to analysis covering geopolitical risks, the energy transition, corporate strategy and competitor intelligence, and gas/liquefied natural gas (LNG) markets.
Prior to joining Energy Intelligence in 2017, Rajendran spent two years as an investor in the energy (E&Ps, OFS, infrastructure/MLPs, majors/integrated), renewables, refining, and chemicals (petrochemicals, specialty chemicals) sectors. He also spent over seven years as a sell-side equity research analyst, including five at Credit Suisse where he was a lead analyst for the MLP/infrastructure/LNG sectors and also covered chemicals.
Rajendran earned a Bachelor of Arts in computer science and economics from Cornell University and holds a Master of Science in information systems management from Carnegie Mellon University.
