On May 21, Her Highness Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser al Missned, State of Qatar, offers her keynote address, "The 'Women's Issue' in Context: Reframing the Discourse on Middle Eastern Women," which will be webcast live. The Honorable Edward P. Djerejian, founding director of the Baker Institute, and The Honorable James A. Baker, III, honorary chair of the Baker Institute, present welcoming remarks preceding her address.

This conference will bring together leading experts on women and human rights issues to discuss the current status of women in the Middle East with the specific goal to better inform the public and regional leaders on avenues for advancement in this critically important area of policy. Topics of discussion will specifically address the state of education, law, health and political participation.
