The fifth annual T. T. Chao Symposium will bring world-renowned experts to Houston to address one of the great issues facing humanity: food production and food security.

From planting to policy, how can modern society best provide basic nutrition for its citizens? The Green Revolution got us through the hunger crisis of the 20th century, with fertilizer, crop hybridization and good agricultural practices. What will prevent a hunger crisis in the 21st century, with the current world population of 7 billion people projected to expand to 10 billion by 2050?

Join this year's symposium in Houston — or online, through a live webcast, for a symposium that will explore in depth the technological, societal, policy and economic ramifications of providing basic nutrition to the world.

All symposium sessions are free, but registration is required. Register online or contact Nancy Vonada, CHF's manager of events and donor relations, at 215.873.8226 or nvonada@chemheritage.org.

The T. T. Chao Symposium is made possible through the generosity of the Ting Tsung and Wei Fong Chao Foundation. The Chao symposium is being presented by the Chemical Heritage Foundation in partnership with the James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy at Rice University.
