Prominent presidential historian Douglas Brinkley discusses his role as the editor of former President Ronald Reagan's diaries and his aim to firmly establish Reagan's views so critics, historians and the public finally will "get his image in line."ᅡᅠ Brinkley's Oct. 27 presentation is the first and only talk he plans to give concerning the Reagan diaries before the first annotated volume is released in spring 2007. Brinkley is director of the Theodore Roosevelt Center for American Civilization and professor of history at Tulane University.
