A Houston retreat for young specialists was held from March 18 to March 19. The event was for individuals specializing in conflict and cooperation in East Asia. The event was sponsored by the Consulate General of Japan in Houston and the Baker Institute for Public Policy. Some of the topics covered during the retreat were: diplomacy and conflict resolution, energy and natural resource competition, and public perception and nationalism.
