Paul Starobin is a staff correspondent for the National Journal and a contributing editor to The Atlantic Monthly. He was Moscow bureau chief for BusinessWeek from 1999 to 2003 and has also written for The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times and National Geographic. A former reporter for Congressional Quarterly and the Lowell (Mass.) Sun, he also has worked as a public policy case writer for the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. Starobin graduated from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Conn., and received a Master of Science in international relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He was an international journalism fellow for the Knight Foundation Journalism Program in 1998.
