Cuitláhuac García Jiménez - Juntos Haremos HistoriaCuitláhuac García Jimenez is the governor-elect of Veracruz. He ran under the Juntos Haremos Historia coalition. He served as a federal deputy representing the state. García Jimenez previously ran for governor in 2016. He has master’s degrees from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional and from the University of Manchester, and a doctorate in engineering from Hamburg University of Technology.

Miriam Judith González SheridanMiriam Judith González Sheridan is running for governor under the Nueva Alianza party. González Sheridan was previously a member of MORENA but left the party a month prior to announcing her intention to run on the Nueva Alianza ticket. She currently serves as a deputy in the Veracruz state Congress for Minatitlán’s District XXVIII.

José Francisco Yunez ZorrillaJosé Francisco Yunez Zorrilla is the PRI-PVEM coalition’s gubernatorial candidate for the state of Veracruz. Yunez Zorilla currently serves as a senator in the Mexican Congress and heads its finance committee.

Miguel Ángel Yunes MárquezMiguel Ángel Yunes Márquez has registered as a pre-candidate for the PAN-PRD-MC coalition’s (Por Veracruz al Frente) nomination for governor of Veracruz. Yunes Márquez previously served as mayor of Boca del Rio from 2007 to 2017. The son of the present governor of Veracruz, Yunes Márquez has encountered accusations of nepotism by entering the race.
