India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi, once barred from entering the U.S., is getting a rock star welcome on his first trip to New York since being elected in May. International economics fellow Russell Green is unimpressed. “Am I the only India follower who is bored with Modi’s spectacle of a U.S. visit?” he asks. Green explains in “Modi’s U.S. visit: Behind the hype,” published Sept. 29, 2014, in the Baker Institute Blog.
