The Baker Institute Roundtable Young Professionals (RYP) hosted their spring mixer at Under the Volcano, followed by a reading and book signing with best-selling author Philip Caputo at Brazos Bookstore. Caputo read from his new book, “Some Rise by Sin,” which tells the story of a Franciscan priest struggling to walk a moral path through the shifting and fatal realities of an isolated Mexican village. Copies of the book were available for purchase after the reading.

This event was open to young professionals age 45 and under. For more information about membership, please visit the RYP page or contact Emily Kinkaid at 713.348.5191 or emily.kinkaid@rice.edu.
