Best known as the author of the acclaimed novel “Forrest Gump,” Winston Groom is also a noted historian and Vietnam veteran. His speaking engagement at the Baker Institute focused on his new book, “The Generals,” which tells the intertwined and uniquely American tales of George Patton, Douglas MacArthur and George Marshall. With a pre-event reception, lecture, book signing and question-and-answer session, this event, hosted by the Roundtable Young Professionals (RYP), promised to be one you wouldn't want to miss.
