The Davoudi Emerging Leaders Lecture Series was exclusive to members of the Roundtable Young Professionals and was held once per month through May 2021. Each event in the series featured a conversation about public policy fundamentals, practical information on working in the public policy sphere, and the charge and impact of the Baker Institute itself.

At this event, Joe Barnes, the Bonner Means Baker Fellow, and Colton Cox, RYP member and policy assistant to the director, discussed the Baker Institute’s mission and relevance as a top-ranked, nonpartisan public policy think tank. They spoke about their roles at the Baker Institute, examining its unique history and sharing examples of the institute’s policy impact over the years through its research and events. Following their overview, attendees were invited to an interactive discussion about how the institute can more actively engage the RYP according to the interests of its members.

The event was moderated by Morgan Garvey, the associate director of stewardship at the Baker Institute. The Baker Institute thanks Haydeh and Ali Davoudi for supporting these important conversations. Click here for a list of other webinars in the series.
