Over 70 years since its founding, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO)  is the most successful alliance in history. Now with 30 members, NATO is the bedrock of the United States’ commitment to transatlantic peace and security. But, today the alliance faces new challenges.

In this Director’s Lecture Series event, the Honorable Kay Bailey Hutchison, the 22nd United States Ambassador to NATO, addressed the status of the NATO alliance and related foreign policy issues. There was also a question and answer session moderated by Baker Institute Director Ambassador Edward P. Djerejian.
