Almost 50 years after the first U.S. moon landing, America’s space program faces an uncertain future. Space policy has become a contentious issue, and decisions are being made that will affect not only national security, but also our ability to compete with other countries and commercial ventures in a 21st century space race.

Join the Baker Institute Roundtable Young Professionals (RYP) for a look at what’s ahead for NASA with senior space policy fellow George Abbey, former director of the Johnson Space Center, and former astronauts Leroy Chiao (space shuttle astronaut and International Space Station commander) and Fred Haise (Apollo 13). Come mingle with old friends or network with new ones while enjoying drinks and snacks courtesy of Saint Arnold Brewing Company.

Registration is free for RYP members and $10 for nonmembers. For more information about membership, please visit the RYP page or contact Greg Lee, assistant director of corporate development, at glee@rice.edu or 713.348.2261.
