The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) is entrusted with handling the United States’ most sensitive documents — ranging from highly classified materials and presidential administrative records to congressionally mandated documents such as the files about the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

At this event a panel of experts including the U.S. Archivist, Colleen Shogan, Ph.D., explored the significance of NARA's mission, underscoring its pivotal role in preserving our nation's historical heritage. They also discussed the intricate challenges linked to preserving digital data, the growing demand for digital literacy skills, and the critical importance of securing our digital legacy.

This event was sponsored by the Office of the Director of the Baker Institute, The Honorable David M. Satterfield.
