Texas Oil Production Cut Plan 'Dead' A proposal to require all producers to cut production may be off the table, but the market was already moving in that direction, said energy fellow Mark Finley. “We may have seen the worst of the demand destruction as the economy begins to get back into motion here in the U.S. and around the world. And as of last Friday, the biggest coordinated production cuts in the history of the world oil market have taken effect.”

Chinese Tariffs and U.S. Oil Export Growth The near-term impacts of the trade dispute with China may be minimal, said energy fellow Mark Finley. "Overall U.S. exports, both crude and refined products, have continued to grow even after the Chinese tariffs. The high-level evidence shows the U.S. surplus continues to find its way into the global market."
