Energy fellow Francisco Monaldi examined Venezuela's collapsing oil industry and what might come next for the Maduro regime.

“If there is no positive resolution to the Venezuelan political crisis, the deterioration of the Venezuelan oil industry will persist and will be harder to reverse,” said fellow Francisco Monaldi.

“Venezuela is in emergency mode every day,” energy fellow Francisco Monaldi said. “The economic collapse is the worst seen outside a war zone. We've never seen anything like it in the history of Latin America.”

“They will try to hang on for as long as they can,” fellow Francisco Monaldi said of Chevron's continuing investments in Venezuelan crude oil in spite of U.S. sanctions.
