Peter Hotez, one of Houston's experts on vaccines and a health fellow at the Baker Institute, believed President Donald Trump should be hospitalized after his positive test for Covid-19. Hotez also told ABC 13 News that "if he gets severely ill, especially a month before the election, that's a major national security issue."

"What we’re seeing really is the historic decimation among the Hispanic community by the virus,” said health policy fellow Peter Hotez during a virtual Congressional Hispanic Caucus briefing. 

"We could have a resurgence — a third peak — that’s potentially worse than the one we just went through,” Peter Hotez, fellow in disease and poverty, told The Texas Tribune in an interview. Watch the video here.
