Health policy fellow Peter Hotez laid out a potential timeline for a coronavirus vaccine and possible treatments for infected patients. New York Magazine:

"I understand the importance of accelerating timelines for vaccines in general, but from everything I know, this is not the vaccine to be doing it with," said health policy fellow Peter Hotez of his work on a coronavirus vaccine. 

"A lot of projections are saying that this is not a one-off thing. We're going to be dealing with this virus ... for at least a couple of years," said fellow Peter Hotez on the possibility of Covid-19 becoming a recurring problem.

“This is very tough for government officials," said health policy fellow Peter Hotez. "I’m sorry to say we’re still in the early stages of this epidemic."

Chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine have “a lot of potential,” but “we’re not going on a lot of data yet," said fellow Peter Hotez of potential COVID-19 treatments.
