Stan Kannegieter is a graduate fellow at the Baker Institute Center for Energy Studies and is currently completing his Ph.D. in economics at Rice University. His main research interests are nature-based markets and the energy transition toward a sustainable economy. Kannegieter graduated from Southwestern University with bachelor’s degrees in economics and mathematics and holds a master’s in econometrics from Maastricht University.
