Stan Kannegieter is a graduate fellow at the Baker Institute Center for Energy Studies and is currently completing his Ph.D. in economics at Rice University. His main research interests are quantifying ecosystem services and investment in nature-based markets. Kannegieter graduated from Southwestern University with bachelor’s degrees in economics and mathematics and holds a master’s in econometrics from Maastricht University.
