Biography

Miaomiao Rimmer serves as a research manager for the Center for Energy Studies at the Baker Institute. Her work spans a broad range of energy-related fields, including oil and gas, renewable energy, ESG, energy transition, and the electricity sector. With a keen focus on data automation, database design, data visualization, and cloud computing, Rimmer leverages her expertise to advance research in the energy sector. She is proficient in a variety of tools and platforms, holding certifications in Tableau, AWS, Azure, R, SAS, and Bloomberg Terminal. She is also a certified Data Carpentry instructor in Python.

She received dual master’s degrees in sociology and regional and city planning from the University of Oklahoma.
