His Excellency Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, president of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, will speak to members and guests of the Baker Institute Energy Forum. Energy trade and investment between the United States and Equatorial Guinea is an important part of the relationship between the two nations. Equatorial Guinea's energy industry is now a major exporter of oil and liquefied natural gas to international markets. President Obiang will discuss the emerging role of Equatorial Guinea in the global energy arena.
