Ethics, Politics, and Society Lecture Series - The Dangers of Nation Building: Iraq as a Case Study

The Rice University Lecture Series on Ethics, Politics and Society provides a rare opportunity to explore, with some of academia's brightest and most stimulating minds, many of our deepest moral, political and social dilemmas.ᅡᅠ Allen Buchanan, professor of philosophy and public policy in the Sanford Institute at Duke University, has had a distinguished career in bioethics as well as political philosophy and philosophy of international relations.ᅡᅠ One focus of his current research is finding ways to combine moral and political philosophy with detailed institutional analysis to produce useful recommendations for public policy.
