Dr. Jonathan Brent is the Editorial Director of Yale University Press and the author of Stalin's Last Crime, which was chosen as one of the best books of 2003 by the Financial Times and is considered the definitive book on the infamous Doctors' Plot of 1953. Dr. Brent's own research has produced stunning new revelations concerning Soviet espionage in America, Stalin's conduct of the cold war, Soviet intervention in Spain and Soviet control of the art and intellectual life, among many other subjects. In a lecture by Dr. Brent, he compares Stalin and Saddam in a lecture entitled "Stalin and Saddam, the Totalitarian Mind: Legitimacy, Conspiracy and Force."
