Stephen Flynn presents the findings and recommendations of a recently published report by the Council on Foreign Relations-sponsored Independent Task Force on Homeland Security Imperatives.
The threat of weapons of mass destruction being used against the United States and the slowness of responding to that threat have put our nation at great risk. Former Senators Gary Hart and Warren B. Rudman of the now-famous Commission on National Security that first warned of a terrorist attack three years earlier, teamed up again to chair this task force.
Mr. Flynn is the Jeane J. Kirkpatrick Senior Fellow in National Security Studies Council on Foreign Relations. He is one of the country's leading experts in homeland security and served as Project Director of the task force.
