Student POV: Egyptian women still denied reproductive rights

Despite their vital role in the Arab Spring, many Egyptian women still experience heinous violations of their rights, such as female genital mutilation and sexual violence, writes student Sanjana Puri, an intern for the Women and Human Rights in the Middle East Program at the Baker Institute. Despite the changes in government, "the fight for women’s rights will continue to be a struggle for compromise amongst secular and religious groups," she explains.
