The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has begun talks with China about negotiating a free trade agreement. However, in the past, Gulf states have struggled to reach agreement on international trade deals. Kristian Coates Ulrichsen, fellow for Kuwait, writes in the Majalla about tensions within the GCC that hamper trade deals.
