Nonresident Fellow in Health PolicyIncremental medical advancements over the past few decades have improved cancer survival, according to an op-ed by Hagop Kantarjian, health policy scholar, and John Mendelsohn, the L.E. and Virginia Simmons Fellow in Health and Technology Policy. Survival rates for five years or longer have increased in many types of cancer and have doubled in our lifetimes, and tumors previously resistant are now responding to new treatments.
