"Learn about [health care reform] and get insurance before it is too late," writes Hagop Kantarjian, Baker Institute Scholar in Health Policy and chair of the Department of Leukemia at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. "Playing Russian roulette with one's life by not signing up for health insurance and hoping to stay healthy is a dangerous proposition." Likewise, it's not smart for Texas leaders to stand in the way of Texans' access to comprehensive information that allows them to make the decision about coverage for themselves, he adds. "It's also cruel."
