The Center for Energy Studies hosted His Excellency Arcandra Tahar, Indonesia's vice minister of energy and mineral resources, for a meeting at the Baker Institute on March 8. The vice minister presented a detailed overview of Indonesia's new oil and gas policy and answered questions from experts from the Baker Institute and industry. The policy provides for a split of revenues between the government and the field developer that is based on varying factors such as location, water depth, reservoir depth, type of reservoir, CO2/H2S/gravity, cumulative production, price and local content.
