Child health policy fellow Quianta Moore joins "Houston Newsmakers" to discuss the pandemic’s toll on families and children — and what can be done to help them.
For instance, increased funding for childcare and pre-K facilities would not only provide "a stimulating, engaging environment for young children,” she said, but also support for parents, "whether it be 'I am a new mom and I just need a break and I need to run to the grocery store or take a shower or I need to be able to work.'"
Moore is the Huffington Fellow in Child Health Policy.
