The Geopolitics of Natural Gas study explores the intersection of energy, security, and international politics with a goal of improving the understanding of how energy demand and supply shape international politics and vice versa.
GDP and population growth are key market drivers. Status quo results of the study show the fastest-growing demand region is Asia (largely driven by China and India), followed by the Middle East. But there won’t be nearly as much growth on the supply side, compared to the demand side, which means the region will rely heavily on imports.
