Baker Institute founding director Ambassador Edward P. Djerejian (pictured seated above, center) met with students of the Gateway Study of Leadership Program during a "Power Breakfast" on Oct. 18, 2011, to discuss his personal experience with and the challenges of leadership.
The Gateway Study of Leadership is a student-led fellowship housed in the Rice University School of Social Sciences. The goal of the fellowship is to conduct an interview-based research project that looks for leadership themes and lessons as offered by members of the School of Social Sciences. The group also hosts leadership breakfasts, lunches and other events with prominent leaders from Rice.
Djerejian was the fourth guest in the group"s leadership breakfast series. Rice University president David Leebron has also spoken with the group.
