Ken Medlock, senior director of the Center for Energy Studies, comments on a federal lawsuit against the Obama administration's Clean Power Plan, which requires states and utilities to use less coal and more renewable energy to reduce carbon pollution from power plants.
"Even if we didn't have the discussion about the Clean Power Plan, quite frankly you'd be phasing the coal out anyway," Medlock said. "The transition has already started. This just moves the ball faster down the hill."
