Trump has yet to appoint a science advisor
President Donald Trump has taken longer than any modern president to name a science advisor. The Washington Post interviewed Neal Lane, senior fellow in science and technology policy, on the subject. “There’s little room for doubt that the Trump administration’s priorities do not include science and technology, in sharp contrast with every president, Republican or Democrat, since World War II,” Lane said.
Lane served as director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy under President Bill Clinton and, prior to that, director of the National Science Foundation.
