Claudia SheinbaumClaudia Sheinbaum is the mayor-elect of Mexico City, She was the head of Mexico City’s Tlalpan delegation from 2015 until December 2017. She previously served as the secretary of the environment for the city of Mexico during Manuel Lopez Obrador’s administration (2000-2005). She holds a bachelor’s in physics and a master’s in energy engineering from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.

The PRD, PAN and Movimiento Ciudadano parties formed the coalition party “Por la CDMX al Frente” in December 2017.
Alejandra BarralesAlejandra Barrales served as the president of the PRD until stepping down in December 2017 and announcing her intention to seek the party’s nomination for mayor of Mexico City. She was a senator representing the former Federal District of Mexico and also served as a federal deputy in the district’s Legislative Assembly. Barrales holds a law degree from Universidad Mexicana and a master’s in public administration from Instituto Nacional de Administración Pública.

Mikel ArriolaMikel Arriola formally announced his intention to seek his party’s nomination for the post of Mayor of Mexico City in December 2017. He previously served as the director of the Mexican Social Security Institute under President Enrique Peña Nieto, a position he held since February 2016.
