Biography

Songying Fang is an associate professor of political science at Rice University. Her research uses game-theoretic and empirical analysis to study the link between domestic politics and state behavior in international organizations and interstate conflict. She has published in many leading political science and international relations journals, including the American Journal of Political Science, International Organization, International Studies Quarterly, the Journal of Politics, and the British Journal of Political Science. She has also received fellowships from the Niehaus Center for Globalization and Governance at Princeton University and the Hoover Institution at Stanford University.

Fang received a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Rochester; M.A.s in economics from Binghamton University, SUNY, and Renmin University of China; and a B.S. in engineering from the University of Science and Technology Beijing.
