biography

Kristin M. Furnish is an attorney with more than 25 years of cross-border experience representing business clients large and small in both the United States and Latin America.

She has taught undergraduate- and graduate-level courses at the law schools of the Universidad Iberoamericana and the Universidad Autónoma de Mexico (UNAM), both in Mexico City. She has also been a regular speaker on anti-corruption and ethics for compliance programs internationally.

Furnish holds a J.D from The University of Texas School of Law and a B.A. in political economy from Tulane University and has also studied at the Instituto Panamericano de Alta Dirección de Empresa (IPADE) in Mexico City.

Fluent in Spanish, she lived and worked abroad for more than 15 years and was the legal director for corporate and international affairs for a large group of companies with projects across Latin America.

Furnish currently practices law in Texas with the U.S. affiliate of a Mexico City firm. She represents U.S. and Latin American entrepreneurs, investors and businesses on matters in the United States.
