The Covid-19 pandemic has increased reliance on technology in every sector, especially in health care. Health care providers have rapidly responded to physical distancing requirements by using telemedicine to deliver patient care, and insurers have changed reimbursements to make telemedicine a financially viable option. At this webinar, Heidi Schwarzwald, chief medical officer of Aetna Better Health of Texas, and Rhonda Mundhenk, CEO of Lone Star Circle of Care, discussed the recent changes in health care delivery, the impact of the pandemic on health care access, future opportunities for telemedicine usage and the potential challenges of utilizing telehealth services. The conversation was moderated by Quianta Moore, fellow in child health policy.
