President William J. Clinton spoke to more than 3,000 Rice faculty, staff, students and Baker Institute members February 8, 2007, at Autry Court.  Baker Institute Director, Ambassador Edward Djerejian, Rice President David Leebron, the Honorable James A. Baker, III, Honorary Chair of the Baker Institute for Public Policy, all gave remarks before Clinton's speech, titled "Embracing our Common Humanity: Meeting the Challenges of Global Interdependence in the 21st Century."  Clinton offered his own insight on current and future roles of U.S. policy on an international level.  This lecture was part of the Shell Distinguished Lecture Series.
